History of The File Room: Serving St. Louis for Over 25 Years

The File Room is an operating company of Cord Investments, a St. Louis based, second generation family-owned business.  The File Room was founded by Martin Ryan in the early 1980’s out of necessity to fill warehouse space and to diversify from what had been his core competency.  Storing records was just the start of things to come.

The File Room moved from their first warehouse of a mere 80,000 cubic feet in 1989 to its warehouse with a current expansion under way to be completed in late January 2009 bringing the capacity to over 420,000 cubic feet.  The Phase V expansion under the founder’s son, Steve Ryan’s leadership, has grown organically and with new customers joining the customer base every day due to his ongoing focus on:
